Off-page SEO is defined as any online marketing elements or services that are undertaken on other websites or platforms (like Facebook) to improve the website’s ranking within Google.

Traditionally this mainly meant building backlinks to the website to provide Google with the correct coded impression of trustworthiness and relevance. With the advent of Social Media this can also mean everything from followers and likes. As reviews became popular on both Google and websites like Trustpilot, these also form part of page SEO.
