Home / Small Business SEO Glossary / Cost of Acquisition

The cost of acquisition is the price of acquiring a new client or customer. Used often in PPC, COA is calculated by dividing the cost of an advertising (or SEO) campaign by the number of generated new customers. If you spend £5000 pm on Facebook ads and generate 121 new customers, the acquisition cost is £41.32 per new customer.
